It was a joke to see the Secretary of the Association washing dirty laundry in public. I am talking about the Sreesanth incident and the BCCI warning letter. Instead of supporting their own player by privately calling Sreesanth and warning him the KCA secy goes to the press !
Sreesanth obviously has behavioral problems but this not the way to treat your own player and malign him in public. This is typical of some of the board officials who treat players like dirt and use them as stepping stones to get to the next official level. TCM is obviously trying for a higher post in the BCCI The KCA is one the worst run administrations when it comes to taking care of its players. The KCA does not follow the BCCI guide lines for Players travel and stay requirements. The KCA still takes their players on long train journeys for tournaments to the length and breadth of India while all other state associations are flying their players to match venues. So the other teams are fresh and the KCA boys are a tired lot The boys are always tired and sapped of their energy by the time they reach their destinations and then they are expected to perform !! How can they ever hope to get players who are capable of playing for at the India level? The BCCI gives the KCA financial grants to develop cricket and why is KCA mot following the BCCI guidelines with regards to player comfort? Why are the Kerala state players still being taken on long train journeys and bus rides across India? Can some journalist ask Mr. T C Mathew this relevant question? This man is busy promoting himself by talking about Sreesanth !!! And the players are traveling like cattle !!! Why is the BCCI not sending the KCA a warning letter to follow BCCI guidelines? The match referees are aware of this. |
