   Onam celebration dates : According to Malayalam masam its 10 days but according to the English calendars this year celebration extends to 11 days

Note the Thriketa falling on both 27th as well 28th August 2009

Onam is Kerala’s own festival. Malayalis all over the world celebrate it-Hindus, Christians and Muslims. Atham marks the beginning of the 10-day Onam festival.
