   Rimi Tomy often spelt as Rimi Tomi was born in Palai of central Kerala to Tomy who served as soldier and mother Rani, a homemaker is a popular playback singer in Malayalam. Has a brother, Rinku and a sister, Reenu.

Her debut was in the film 'Meesa Madhavan'. Her first Song was 'Chingamasam VannuChernnal'. 
She was studying for her degree, 1st year, when she debuted in Malayalam cinema. 

After her debut film which won her critical acclaim and various honours, this young singer has created a name for herself in Malayalam cinema industry. 
She also takes part in various stage shows, TV shows and other entertainment programs in India and abroad.

	Rimi's wedding on 27th April 2008 at Alappadu Rimi Tomy (Rimi Tomi), known for her exceptional singing talents and live stage performances also had been a popular presenter of music programmes in many channels. Rimi Tomy will tie knot with Royce on 27th April 2008. Royce is a business man and son of Varghese and Kathrina at Alappadu near Thrissur. The marriage ceremony will be held at Lourde Metropolitan Church Thrissur.

	singer Rimi Tomy was fined Rs. 50,000 for not bringing orchestra along for her show with Mohan Lal in America. MACTA Musicians Union leaders say that the fined money is put in a fund to help poor musicians. It seems that She sang using the minus track (Karaoke track). Musicians who are going to form the new association had opposed any singers from using minus-1 track for shows abroad.
