I just saw something interesting on the ISS yesterday. I guess it is meant for all the controversy masters who are saying that the show really does not exist, it is finished ( and they were privy to the conclusion ) , the winners are chosen ... - I understand that if anyone wants to see the show live at the Asianet studios and really see the stage and the singers etc - they can SMS for tickets - maybe some of the controversy masters can take this offer and let us know how it turned out.
Sanni did not do as well as I had expected. But generally I like Cpt Rajoo and his interesting comments. As for the judges - they seem as good as ever !!
The dawn of a new year and era - no more unnecessary controversies - at least in our part of the world !!!

Maybe the prayer is for these controversy masters to sms for a TICKET - I think they would not because it will burst their bubble !!!
I am sure they will cry that they have never even heard about such things as tickets and SMS !!!
Agni - are you planning to go for the show - I am too far away and would not be able - but I am going to try to put it on my list of things to go for !!!
But then again - you and me going is no use - we are not the controversy masters !!!!

I started a CAB service in Chennai city recently and have some busy schedules for next few months. I will not be able to make it even if i wished!
As you rightly said, its no use we going there!
But lets catch up the telecast!

Hi,
I am shocked to see Sannidhanandan IN today... He got the lowest marks..only 182, about 14 marks less from Dr.Bineetha just above him in the ranking... But Bineetha and Teenu are out and Sanni is IN... I think Asianet cannot make Sanni out of the show because of the popularity he enjoys among the viewers... I don't think Sanni is performing well.. He didn't do well in the last 2-3 rounds... |

Actually my favourite personality on the show is Sanni. Much as he is struggling with form - I am happy to see that he is in. Then the question comes up - is there any fairness when the marks and the SMS does not tally - then should he be in or out.
My thinking is like this - if majority of the people that SMS like him and his style and his song - as indicated by the SMS count - would the points given by a minority outweigh the feelings of the majority ? The question is what is art - in this case singing - is it a science based on a mathematical formula or is it as percieved by the audience ? In this case most probably the ART won the day and the science ( and the inherent weakness of the judging system ) lost.
Is it fair - would you prefer someone that majority do not like in singing win ? Is the feelings of the majority not to be listened to ? Does the artist play a part in the art - and the crowds have answered - the artist and the art are one - and Sanni is the perfect merger of art and artist - thus the supreme singer at least for now.
So to people like me - the system of SMS has given the scientists with their head appreciation a back seat and the pure art appreciator the victory.
This is still a great show - the question is would the people's choice be the ultimate winner ?
the answer is what the judges said yester - where God is that is where victory is. God is with Sanni - actually his parents named him right. Sanni is my hero and I will cry when he is out !!!

The Judging Concept should be changing :
After watching the show yesterday - I think at this stage the concept of the judging must change. I think the awarding of points ( very controversial ) should be abandoned. It is very subjective and generally not in line with most of the viewers. And it creates a distorted picture of who is good , whose singing is good ....
I think the judges should given their comments and leave the judging to the viewers - that way the system will take some kind of People's choice direction.
You might be able to sing to the Judges's satisfaction or dis-satisfaction but they too become just like us the humble listeners. We vote as per who we think is best and maybe I would like to see the voting numbers and the general public perception !!
I am sure this will give a whole new dimension.

... actually are we still on the Varun case - or have we moved on ?
Then again - are we forever going to be at the Varun mess - maybe we need some trained counsellors to help people get over Varun !!!
