Judges were all emotional... Yesudas was given a special momento.
Among Judges Johson master spoke first, followed by Srinivas, Sujatha and finally Anuradha Sriram.
Anuradha sriram was the only one to wish for the Republic day function...
The Crowd applauded the moment she wished the crowd.
Vijay Yesudas was on stage performing a Malayalam Song from Nivedyam , Kolakuzhal vili ketto

Yesudas offered to offer music lessons for the six kids and the previous paribadi winner for 20 days during next Vacation.
Akbar Jose's "Veruthey oru Bharya" will have two of the six kids to sing for his movie.
This was announced by Akbar jose himself on stage.

M.A.Yoosuf Ali gave a Special prize of Rs.50,000/- to each of the Six participants right away on the stage.
Apart from that Swaralayam and Kairali is giving Rs.50,000/- to the other four kids.
Sunil (Tabla) & Jose (Base Guitarist) were given Special felicitation.
(Sunil discontinued his MBBS studies to chase his dream for a career as a Percusionist (Tabla)

Gandharva Sangeethan Junior was certainly a major Disaster! The least favourite among the audience and the most favoured of the judges won the first place. Malavika, who hardly sang anything pleasant won the prize. Adharsh, who had won hearts of thousands, was supposed to be the first place winner.I too come from the field of music and I wonder what the judges had found so appealing in Malavika’s music that had made them arrive at this decision. As a matter of fact, Malavika had performed the worst in the finals. She had no expressions nor sweetness in voice. Gandharva sangeetham jr. had been my favourite program and I have watched the GDS junior closely ; the judges have been praising the girl about her ‘different voice’. Its almost obvious that even Altos have better voices in reasonably low pitches. If they had judged only music, then I would say that Adharsh and Ramanand were far better. I request Kairali Tv to think twice before giving away prizes in the name of Ganagandharvan(who himself seemed appalled by the judgement) to those who are unworthy of them.

I think the above writer did not see the show as a show. I think the show was a reasonable success - some kids got recognised for their talent.
As for the least favourite - I suspect the real message is the singer that the above writer least liked won - thus the disasterous reaction.
There is no such thing as a perfect show - it is human and will have the usual human flaws. All part of the show. In fact I saw a football game yesterday where Newcastle scored a goal - but the ref saw differently and disallowed. The human factor in a game - and in this case a show.
I am sure many people liked the show - it was a good show and I wish all the wonderful kids all the best in their future career !!!!

I am a Maharashtrian, with marathi as my mothertongue.
My family and I are avid watchers of the programmes on Kairali like Gandharva Sangeetham, Star Wars, Chamayam, Yatra for more than one year. We did not understand the things that are said. Now we have got the grip of a few things.
Last year we watched Gandharva Sangeetham both seniors and juniors.
This year we wouldnot miss even one episode of Gandharva Sangetham junior.
The standard set by the youngsters was unmatchable, uncomparable. The children, Johnson master, Anu chechi, Divya, Shrini uncle and Kannan had become part of our household. We miss them a lot.
The standard of the seniors competition does not appear to be high. Over all the entire thing appears to be very dull.

Yes, The judges are Superb, at Gandharvasangeetham No " Sangathese " or " Fantastic, Elastic, Excellent " judgments. Johnson mash, Sreenivas, Anuradha Sreeram are Doing a Wonderful Job. i didn't like the Star Singer. |

I strongly reccomend Jerry Amaldev be invited and introduced to the young talents of today through Idea Star singer.
