Malayalam unicode font help for www.simplymalayalees.com
Windows XP and Windows Vista Users
Follow these steps to if you are unable to read Malayalam content in this website.
Go to Tools > Internet options > Fonts > select Malayalam under Language script > select web page font as AnjaliOldLipi,

Click on OK.
If you still have the problem, follow these steps,
Go to Control Panel > Select Regional and Language Options > Click on the Languages tab >
Select the check box
'Install files for complex scripts and right-to-left languages (Including Thai)'

Click on OK

This will prompt you to insert XP CD. Insert the CD and repeat the process. Allow the system to copy necessary files.
Restart the system. Now you will be able to read the Malayalam content on IE, FireFox and Opera.
Windows 98 and Windows 2000 With IE 6.0+ Users
Step 1 :
- Download AnjaliOldLipi.ttf and
paste in FONTS folder.
[Right click on the link and click on 'Save Link As' or 'Save Target As']. You can install any font listed on this
page. SimplyMalayalees.com recommends
AnjaliOldLipi.ttf
Once you install the fonts, restart the system.Even now if you can't read malayalam content properly then you can
enable indic support, follow step 2:

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Regional Options > General [Tab] In the "Language settings for this system"
frame, check the box next to "Indic".

Click on OK.

Copy the appropriate files from the Windows 2000 CD when prompted. If prompted, reboot your computer once the files
have been installed.

Unicode support in IE browser before version 6.0 is not good. We recommend you to upgrade to at least IE 6.0+
For Linux Operating System
Copy one of the Malayalam fonts file from
Malayalam Fonts (we recommend
AnjaliOldLipi.ttf font) to .fonts directory in the user's home directory. If .fonts directory does not exist in
the home directory, please create it. Finally run the command 'fc-cache' from the command prompt. It is very important
to restart the browser, then only you will be able to read the content in Malayalam.
Mac and iPhone
In Mac OS X 10.4, if you are using 'Safari' web browser, then needs no action.
iPhone does not support any Indian Unicode fonts.
This will fix almost all the problems. If you still have any problems
contact us with the browser version, OS version and the
problem you are facing.
