I am Sujith, part of the online initiatives of Kerala Tourism and I am delighted to contact you personally regarding an exciting new campaign we have initiated. First of all i would like to thank you for the wonderful support shown to us so far.
 

You might already know about our latest campaign called “Go Kerala” which saw Kerala images printed on the premier coaches of Rajdhani Express. This is one of the biggest branding exercises ever undertaken in India.

We decided to take this offline initiative to the web world with a simple contest called the “Shoot and Tweet” contest (http://www.keralatourism.org/shootandtweet/). In two simple steps, it is possible for any netizen to win exciting prizes and gift from the Kerala Tourism department.

I am happy to convey the news that the branded train will be running to Chennai from NewDelhi on the 17th of February 2010. The train will be reaching Chennai Central by 8:10pm on 18th February 2010.The train will be going back to New Delhi as the Chennai Rajdhani express(2434) by 6:10 am on the 19th.

 

The same train will service between Delhi and bangalore once more in the month of February. The train will reach chennai on 27th February and will be going back to New Delhi on 28th morning

Restriction on collection of parking fees

Kochi: The Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Ernakulam has directed Beena Kannan, Managing Director, Seematti Textiles to refrain from collecting parking fee from the customers who visit her shop. The direction came on a complaint filed by K.J. Mathew of Muvattupuzha.

The Forum headed by its president, A.Rajesh said that examination of material produced before it would show that ex-facie, the practice of collecting parking fee from customers would be tantamount to “unconscionable business practice”.

THAMPI ANTONY STARS IN HOLLYWOOD FILM CASH
 
CASH (CA$H), starring Hollywood actor and British celebrity Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings, GoldenEye, Percy Jackson & the Olympians) is set to release this Spring in the United States. Bean is known for his role in the hit series Sharpe, which was partly filmed in India. Chris Hemsworth (Star Trek, Thor) and Victoria Profeta (Push, The Drew Carey Show) will star alongside Bean.
 
The film, which was originally titled “Root of All Evil,” also stars Malayalam actor Thampi Antony. Antony plays an eccentric sardarji who owns a convenience store. Antony’s role explores common Indian stereotypes in the U.S., and is his first comic performance.
 
CASH marks Antony’s second English-language movie, after starring in Rajiv Anchal’s Beyond the Soul. Antony won the Best Actor Award at the Honolulu International Film Festival for portraying the title role of Dr. Acharya.
 
CASH is Antony’s first appearance in a mainstream Hollywood movie. It is also Hemsworth’s Hollywood debut; in fact, the rising star was discovered on the sets of CASH. After shooting CASH, Hemsworth went on to play Kirk’s father in the blockbuster Star Trek, and will star in Marvel Studios’ Thor later this year. He will also play the lead in Paramount Pictures’ Red Dawn.
 
CASH is the work of acclaimed director Stephen Milburn Anderson (South Central). Anderson also wrote the screenplay.
 
The film had a successful run at Cannes and was represented by Media 8 Entertainment, which produced and distributed the Academy Award winning Monster. An announcement on a theatrical release date and distributor information will be made by February.
 
Antony is known in the U.S. as “Antony Thekkek.”

Tata Sky is not good for Gujarat and Gujarati viewers

Direct to Home TV service Tata Sky has stopped showing DD-11, Girnar service for last one week to viewers. Tata Sky is proving itself an unfriendly service for Gujarat and Gujarati people because it shows only one Gujarati TV channel now. Earlier when Zee TV Gujarati went off-air, Tata Sky canceled that channel but did not care to replace it with another suitable Gujarati satellite channel, say TV9 Gujarati or Bizz TV. Such attitude is not only unfriendly to customers but also injustice to Gujarat and Gujarati people who would definitely opt for other options that are available in the market.

Other DTH services such as Big TV, AirTel, Dish TV etc. show three Gujarati satellite channels – Etv Gujarati, TV9 Gujarati and DD-11-Girnar. This is three times more than Tata Sky. However none of the Direct to Home service telecasts Bizz TV which is relatively small 24-hour Gujarati news channel that mostly plays recorded news.

Tata Sky telecasts almost all available channels when it comes to other languages. Tata Sky shows three channels of Oriya language, four of Punjabi language and more than five channels of each of the southern language, but when it comes to Gujarat, this DTH service behaves in unprofessional manner and decreases the number of channels instead of offering more
